NorCal GGR Mayor
As mayor, I have worked closely with both Chapter Presidents and cabinet members to ensure that the region is healthy, happy, and running smoothly. I led planning of the Fall Leadership Summit (agenda),GGR Fall One Day (agenda), and several ChapterCons this spring. I also helped form and grow several new chapters, including Lick-Wilmerding, Capuchino, and Leland.
Democratic Party Co-Chair
At 2017 Winter Congress, I was lucky enough to be chosen to serve as Democratic Party Chair alongside my close friend and fellow GGR elected official, Ravi. Together, we crafted our party platform and stances on every bill in less than two weeks. We spent our time at Congress running around the capitol and fighting hard for our party platform, which led to the passing of almost all of the bills that we supported. As Chair, I was able to meet many delegates who I had not before, and fight hard for a cause that I believe in.
Youth Advisory Board
Youth Advisory Board serves as a bridge between JSA and local governments. Throughout the year, we have the opportunity to meet people that make change in our communities and serve as a voice for high schoolers. This year, I serve as a member of YAB, a JSA program I hope to help expand in the future.
UC Davis Institute Planning Committee
This summer, JSA is hosting its first student-planned summer program. On the student committee I am the chair of the 'Content' subcommittee, meaning that I am the head of a group of four delegates from both the Northern and Southern California JSA states. The content committee is in charge of organizing the substance of the institute, from choosing field trips to finding speakers for workshops.
Montezuma Leadership Summit Grad
Montezuma was a life changing experience, to say the least. I learned how to be a better leader, both in and out of JSA, all the while learning about this organization's history and making some of my closest friends. At this leadership summit, I was inspired to make positive change in our state and in my community.
Tamalpais Head of Chapter Social Media
Running my chapter's social media as a Sophomore was my first real commitment to JSA. I was able to see how chapter cabinets work, both effectively and ineffectively. By communicating through new platforms like Instagram and Facebook, instead of email which we had used exclusively before, we were able to exponentially increase the size of our delegation.
